For the massacre of school children in Cameroon, the United States Government has shown concern.
A report said that some armed men stormed Mother Francisca Nursery and Primary School in Kumba, attacking the school. The violent onslaught left several young children dead and hurt.
The U.S. Embassy was said to have condemned the attack in a statement in Cameroon, it said that the incident in the toughest so far.
America condoled with the families of the children killed, the wounded, their family members, and all others affected and affirmed that they stand with them in this time of grief and appreciate all those providing medical care to the injured.
The terrible, horrendous act shows disdain for innocent lives which most represent the hope of a positive future, the statement said the violence must stop and children are allowed to exercise their right to go to school without fear for their safety.
The U.S. urged that the perpetrators be held liable and be punished accordingly.
