In readiness for the Ondo governorship election scheduled October 10 2020, the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has assigned the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of Research and Planning, Adeleye Oyebade, to Ondo State ahead of the time.
Also assigned is the Assistant Inspector-General (AIG) of Police, who oversees Federal Operations, Department of Operations, Karma Hassan, and 11 Commissioners of Police, the information is said to have come from the Force spokesperson, DCP Frank Mba, on Friday.
Mr Mba said Oyebade has been charged by Adamu to “showcase his proficiency to bear, by guaranteeing the due enforcement of all electorall laws throughout the period of the election.
CP Garba Umar has been assigned to handle monitoring and evaluation, to be assisted by CP Habu Sani.
CPs Abiodun Alabi, Bishi Omololu, Ashafa Kunle, Akeera Yonous, Buba Sanusi, Audu Madaki, Evelyn Peterside, Sadiku Gbenga, and Abutu Yaro, have also been assigned.
